POSTELLERS NORTH PENNINES SPECIAL

Here's your chance to explore the high moorland country of Northern England. We will be walking along part of the Pennine Way, Britain's longest long distance path, see waterfalls, go along Hadrian's Wall - built by the Romans, and hire bikes in Kielder for a cycle ride just into Scotland. The hostels we will be staying in are Langdon Beck for 2 nights, Kielder for 2 nights, Ninebanks and Birdoswald which is right on the Roman wall, during the week.

What we do

On weekends the trips go to Youth Hostels within easy reach of London and involve activities such as walking, mountain-biking, barbecues, Valentine's Party, Panto weekends, boating and loads more and of course FUN!

The longer trips go much further afield and often include rock-climbing, pony-trekking, caving and long-distance walking. We have hopped over the sea to Belgium, France and Ireland on our travels before now.

Encouraging and enabling young people to take-on responsibilities within the group has always been an important feature of the Postellers. To this end Postellers elect their own Council which decides our programme and other Postellers and YHA matters.

Monthly newsletter

The newsletter keeps Postellers up-to-date with what's going on, the trips that are coming up as well as write-ups of past weekends, photos and so on.

If you become a member, the newsletter will drop through your letter-box every month and you can decide what trips you would like to book. A booking letter also comes with each newsletter.
